About the Department
The Department of Computer Science was established to meet the demand of well-qualified computer professionals. The Department aims at imparting quality education and strives to quench the thirst for knowledge. The Department offers one Post Graduate Programme viz 2 Years Full Time Master of Computer Applications and three Under Graduate Programmes viz. 3 Years Full Time Bachelor of Science (Computer Science), Bachelor of Science (Information Technology) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). With State-of-the-Art computing facilities, students of the department have access to sufficient high end computing facilities including latest hardware, software and other reprographic facilities. The facilities are adequate to cater to the needs of Research activities. The Department continually ensures that programme objectives are attained and learning outcomes are monitored through mid semester test, quizzes, assignments and live projects.
The Department has a cohesive team of well qualified and vibrant faculty dedicated for imparting quality education which is evident with shining names of the students in the Merit list of affiliating University. Symposiums, workshops, hands-on training on latest tools, skill development program, expert lectures, conferences and seminars are organized by department. Experts from industries with hands on experience regularly share their domain knowledge with the students to meet the requirement of companies. Department organizes regular industrial and educational visits enabling students to get acquainted with professional work culture and to help them groom according to industry requirements. The department has collaboration with Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra, DAVV, Indore and signed MoU with companies for academic collaborative projects. The students are getting ample opportunities of placements and most of the passed out students are either well placed or have opted for higher studies.
