Activities@Placement Cell
With the motto of Enhancing Employability and Development of Entrepreneurial Skills, Training and Placement Cell of Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management & Science, Indore plays a vital role and as a key department of the institute. As there are large numbers of colleges coming up in India, the competition for employment is increasing every day and the job of placement is becoming a challenging one. A full-fledged Training & placement cell is functioning in our college with a full time placement officer and a Soft Skill Trainer.
Our Training and Placement Cell is performing the following activities:
- Arranging in plant Training and Internships
- Organizing Industrial Visits and Educational Tours
- Inviting various Organizations for Campus Recruitment
- Workshops/Training to Meet Industry Requirements
- Encouraging for inculcating Entrepreneurial Skills
For placement a large number of prospective employers are contacted throughout the year and efforts are made to invite those companies to the Institute for campus recruitments. The objective of the T&P Cell is to achieve 100% employment of all the students and hence it follows policy of 'One Person One job'. A candidate selected for one job is further restricted to other recruitment. The Training & placement Cell ensures and takes adequate care to provide the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting officials of the companies.
Aptitude, Attitude along with Technical Skills and Domain Knowledge is must for any candidate to crack an interview. Therefore, to cater the need of students the Training & Placement Cell provides all audio visual facilities for Power Point Presentations, Written Test, Group Discussion and Technical and Personal Interviews. It plays a vital role in counseling and guiding the students of the Institute for their successful career. Placement is a crucial phase for a student to transit from academic programme to corporate world/ entrepreneurship. This cell also coordinates various activities related to the career of the students along with the industrial training & industry visits.
In addition to campus placements the T & P Cell organizes soft skill training. It includes session of mock interviews, group discussions, case studies, etc. It also organizes the program like:
- Personality development
- Interpersonal & communication skills
- Career planning and career mapping
Through soft skills training programs, students will be able to better handle interpersonal relationships with a strong sense of empathy. They will also be in a favorable position to monitor the emotions of others so as to come up with well-informed perceptions about others.
